General Notes: Husband - John Adam Scheffer

He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War.
He was a native of Germany, and on coming to America located in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, for a time, removing thence to Westmoreland County and finally in 1822 to Clarion County, where he died at the age of ninety-two years. While in Westmoreland County he owned part of the present site of Greensburg.
