General Notes: Husband - Christian Schloegel

He came to America, with several brothers, while quite young and settled in Baltimore, Maryland.

At the organization of the Otterbein Church of the United Brethren denomination, his name was the fifth on the roll of members.

In 1854 his remains were disinterred and taken to Washington, Pennsylvania, and buried in the cemetery of that place, in the Slagle plot.

About three years after the death of her husband, she went to Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, to live, in order to be near her brother, Christian Wolff. About this time the spelling of the name was changed and anglicized to SLAGLE. On Tuesday, April 28th, 1846, she went to live with her son, Jacob Slagle, in Washington, Pennsylvania, and remainded there until her death.
