General Notes: Husband - Philip Seebold

He was born in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, and was just a child when he was taken to the new home near New Berlin, Union County. He learned the potter's trade with Adam Maize, of that place, and followed that business for many years, but in later life he moved to a country home in the same township, where he later died. He was a well-known citizen, and was a prominent member of the Lutheran Church. In early years he was a Democrat, and later a Know-Nothing, but the anti-slavery controversy led him to become a supporter of the Republican party.
