General Notes: Husband - Edward Sefton


He was born on the family homestead in what is now Clinton township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, was educated at a subscription school, and followed farming throughout his life. He and his wife were members of the Seceder church, in which he filled the office of elder for twenty-five years. In early life he was a Whig, was afterwards a Republican, and filled the offices of school director and assessor in Clinton township.
