General Notes: Husband - Reuben F. Bauman


He was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and came to Allegheny County in 1846, settling in Pittsburgh. Early in life he learned the cabinet-maker's trade. He first came to Pittsburgh to clerk in the wholesale drugstore of B. A. Fahnestock & Co., subsequently becoming a member of the firm of B. L. Fahnestock & Co., wholesale druggists and white-lead manufacturers, of Pittsburgh. In after years and until his death he was a member of the firm of Beymer, Bauman & Co., white-lead manufacturers, Pittsburgh.

To him and his wife were born eight children, only three of whom were still living in 1889.
