General Notes: Husband - Ezra Skinner


He was educated in the public schools at Dry Run, Pennsylvania, and was a farmer all his life.
Civil War: He enlisted in Company F, 158th Regiment, P. V., Nov. 1, 1862, and was mustered out with his company Aug. 12, 1863. The regiment served in North Carolina, and in June, 1863, in a feint upon Richmond, by way of White House Landing and Bottom's Bridge. It joined the Army of the Potomac, under Gen. Meade, at Boonsboro, but three days later Lee made his escape across the Potomac. It was mustered out at Chambersburg.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
