General Notes: Husband - Henry Smith


He was born in Germany, and on coming to the United States settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. In 1800 he moved to Fayette County, settling in Connellsville township, east of Broad Ford. He married, returning to Lancaster County for his wife. He was a typical German farmer, a hard worker, rarely using any but his mother tongue. He prospered and owned a good farm.
