General Notes: Husband - Andrew Henderson Wilson


He was born in Mifflin Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and moved with his parents to Jackson Township, Butler County, shortly thereafter. He learned the wagonmaker trade with Jacob Kieffer at his shop near Buhl's Bridge in Forward Township; worked at his trade in several of the states, and during the Civil War worked in the government shops and was working in the Union Shops at Nashville, Tennessee, at the time General Hood threatened Nashville, and was mustered into the Union Army and served until Hood was driven back from Nashville. After the Civil War he moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he engaged in the carriage making business under the firm name of Hensel, Helm and Wilson. Later he moved to Harmony, Butler County, where he conducted a shop until his death.
