General Notes: Husband - Robert Stewart


He was a mail contractor on the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia turnpike, over which he ran several daily lines of the old-fashioned lumbering stage-coaches of the period. He became a man of wealth, founded Stewartsville in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and owned a valuable estate in Pittsburgh.
