General Notes: Husband - W. B. Stewart

He was a tanner, which trade he followed until twenty-five years of age. After that his time was variously employed until 1851, when he turned his attention to farming, in which he was successfully engaged thereafter. He owned 144 acres of land where he and his family resided. He belonged to the Masonic fraternity for about twenty years, and he and his wife were devoted members of the Baptist Church.
