General Notes: Husband - Jacob Strohm

He was one year old when his parents took up their residence in East Huntingdon township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He followed the quiet but useful occupation of a farmer, and owned a fine farm in Westmoreland County, com-prising one hundred acres. He was one of the prime movers in the organization of the F. A. Black Manufacturing Company of Scottdale, and was a stockholder in the same. In politics he was a staunch Republican, but never aspired to the honors or emoluments of public office. In religious faith he was a member of the Church of God, at Alverton.
