The Stuchul family is of German extraction and the American branch is descended from ancestors who emigrated from Holland to America in an early day. The name is written Stuchul, Stuchal and Stuchell by different branches of the family.

He came to what is now White township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, about 1785.

He was a native of Germany, and settled in what is now White township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, in 1805.
