General Notes: Husband - Isaac Sumney

He grew to manhood at his father's home near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and later moved to Montgomery County, where he owned extensive tracts of land. About 1755 he erected a log hotel, and the settlement which grew up in that locality was known as Sumneytown, later located on the Perkiomen branch of the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad. He married, the children of his union all daughters.
