General Notes: Husband - John Swisshelm

He fought in the Revolutionary struggle; he had a brother in the same war, who was killed; John then took up his arms and joined the ranks, remaining until the war ended. He was a native of Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, where his people resided at the time. Their house was one of that peculiar type known in those days, and possessed the numerous look-out holes as a precaution against Indian invasions.

General Notes: Wife - Elizabeth Wonderly

She lived to a ripe old age, being ninety-four years old when she died. It was her good pleasure to relate the interesting early-day stories to four generations; she was a wonderfully kind old lady.
