General Notes: Husband - Dr. Clyde E. Tibbens, M.D.


He received a thorough literary and professional education. He took his college course at Washington and Jefferson College, Washington, PA, and his medical course at Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, from which he was graduated in 1916, subsequently served nine months as an intern at the Scranton Hospital, and was an intern in the General Hospital at Philadelphia when he entered the United States army in 1917. He joined the Medical Reserve Corps as a lieutenant, was promoted to captain, and served in France during WWI. Dr. Tibbens was captain of the Washington and Jefferson baseball team for one season, and was president of his class at Jefferson Medical College, enjoying all the honors of a popular collegian. He was an eye, ear, nose and throat specialist in Washington, Pa.
