General Notes: Husband - Henry Townsend

He was born on his father's farm and dur­ing his earlier years drilled salt wells and manufactured salt, later on in life devoting himself to agricultural pursuits. Politically he held the same faith as his father, and sup­ported the principles of the Democratic party. The Lutheran Church had in him a devout member.

He and his wife had ten children.
