General Notes: Husband - Robert Beatty

He was at one time a resident of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and in 1810 became one of the pioneers of Clarion County. He was the first blacksmith in the region, and, in connection with work at his trade, engaged in agricultural pursuits, opening up a farm of over two hundred acres in Monroe township, which was later owned by his grandson, Dr. J. A. Beatty, and occupied by his three sisters and brother-in-law.
