General Notes: Husband - Samuel Beatty


He was educated in the district school of Patton township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and was a very young man when he commenced farming on the homestead, on which he spent his entire life. He was active in the cause of religion, and assisted in building the Cross Roads Presbyterian Church in 1836. In political matters he was Republican.
