General Notes: Husband - Oris Weston Beaty


He was born on the old Mead home­stead three miles west of Warren, PA, and was edu­cated in the public schools. He became asso­ciated with his father in the production of oil during the most active part of his father's busi­ness career and he also engaged in lumbering. In 1880 he made his home in Warren, where he erected a fine residence on Conewango ave­nue on the east side. He was prominent in business and financial circles. From 1889 until he died he was vice-president of the Warren Savings Bank. He was a member of North Star Lodge, Free Masons, and of Occidental Chapter, Royal Arch Masons. In politics he was a Republican and he had served in the city council. He was a communicant and vestryman of the Protestant Episcopal church, and active in church and benevolent work.
