General Notes: Husband - Jacob G. Vogeley

In 1870 he commenced to learn the carpenter's trade of F. Feigel, of Butler, Butler County, Pennsylvania, which he followed until 1875, in which year he went to California, where he followed his trade for about a year; then accepted a position with a mercantile house, with which he remained until the spring of 1882.
Returning to Pennsylvania, he married and they then proceeded to California, but owing to the ill health of Mrs. Vogeley they returned to Allegheny County, and located at Tarentum. Here Mr. Vogeley commenced general merchandise business, consisting of dry goods, wall-paper, furnishings, notions, etc.
Mr. Vogeley was a member of the R. A. Lodge, No. 910, of Tarentum. He and his wife were members of the Presbyterian Church.
