General Notes: Husband - Samuel T. Zahniser

---

He and his wife had nine children; three died small.
He was a farmer, served as township supervisor, and was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church thirty-three years. He was a Democrat.

His entire life was spent on the farm in Jefferson Township, Mercer County, PA, where he was born. His wife was totally blind for 25 years before her death. Both were active mem­bers of the Methodist church. He was a Democrat and was elected to many local offices by his fellow citizens.
