General Notes: Husband - John Z. Beck

He received his education in the common schools of the vicinity. He began his married life in South Strabane township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, where he then remained, with the exception of a three years' residence in Washington borough. In political opinion Mr. Beck was prominently identified with the Republican party, and served as assessor and constable, and also in several minor offices. He and his wife were members of the United Presbyterian Church at Pigeon Creek.
