Kingsley Twp, Forest Co, PA

In August, 1862, he enlisted in Company G, Eighty-third Pennsylvania Volunteers, and served until the close of the war. He was wounded at the battle of Laurel Hill, taken pris­oner and confined in Richmond Hospital, and for two weeks in Libby Prison. After the close of the war, he came to Forest County, Pennsylvania, and engaged in lumber­ing. He was a Democrat in politics, and was a member of Tionesta Post, No. 274, G. A. R. He was a trustee in the Evangelical Church.
