General Notes: Husband - Josiah White


He resided on the homestead in Lancaster, Massachusetts. He served as tith-ingman in 1718, moderator six years, treas-urer one year, representative in the general court of Massachusetts in 1728-29-30-31-37, when he refused re-election, selectman for five years, being one of the first seven. He was sergeant in command of the garrison in the war with the Indians in 1704 on the west side of Penicook creek (called the Neck), and was deacon of the first church from 1729 to 1772.
