General Notes: Husband - J. Stewart Witherow

He learned surveying of his father, which he has practiced all his life, and was for years the only surveyor in his locality. In 1856 he acquired possession of the home farm, which he also carried on. He was county surveyor for three years, and was also county jury commissioner. He was a member of Valley Home Lodge, No. 740, I. O. O. F., of which he was secretary for many years, and he was likewise District Deputy Grand Master. All his family were members of Marsh Creek Presbyterian Church, of which, for thirty years, he was a trustee. In politics he was a Republican.
