General Notes: Husband - Henry Moor Wick

He was reared on the farm, and when twenty years old took up the carpenter trade. In 1861 he joined Co. A, 8th P. R., and served three years with the Army of the Potomac. At Charles City Cross Roads he received a bullet in the right side, injuring the pelvic bone, so that the wound did not heal for a year, but he recovered in time to take part in the battles of the Wilderness, and was discharged at the expiration of his term, in 1864. For a time he was employed by the government at his trade, and in January, 1868, engaged with the A. V. R. R. Co., and was made foreman of engine-carpenters in 1882. After coming to Verona, in 1876, he built a house on Railroad avenue, in the First ward. With his mother and youngest sister he resided near Iona station. He was a member of the K. of P. and G. A. R., and was a republican.
