General Notes: Husband - Rufus Wilson

He came at the age of six to Stockbridge and succeeded to the farm later owned by John G. Wilson. The history of Stockbridge says that about the close of the revolution Elisha, Peter, Mary, Phebe and Mehitable Wilson with their mother went with others to the Chenango Purchase, New York. Rufus Wilson built a saw mill and grist mill about the close of the revolution on the site occupied later by a mill built by John G. Wilson at West Stockbridge. In 1790 there were living at Stockbridge, according to the first federal census, Elnathan at West Stockbridge, Mary at Stockbridge, and Farron. None of the family was at Springfield, Massachusetts.
