General Notes: Husband - Adam Wylie


Adam and Robert Wylie, who were of Scotch-Irish descent, settled in what is now Canton township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, about 1784, Adam on the farm later owned by Samuel Taggert. He patented three hundred and thirty-nine acres lying on the road from Washington to Charlestown (later Wellsburg). On the 13th of January, 1802, he sold one hundred and forty acres to his son Adam.
