General Notes: Husband - Michael Beighley


He was reared on his father's farm, and received a meager education in a pioneer subscription school near his home.
He lived on the farm settled by his father, and became one of the oldest residents of Lancaster township. He was a member of the English Lutheran church, and in politics, was an adherent of the Republican party. He filled the office of township supervisor, and in his early manhood was a member of the State Militia.
