spent his boyhood days on the old family homestead. By trade he was a carpenter, at which he worked in young manhood. Later in life he became a contractor and builder, following this till his death. He was a school director and held other township offices. He was a member of the Order of United Workmen and of the Protected Home Circle. In politics he voted the Democratic ticket.
