General Notes: Husband - Samuel Y. Beil

obtained his education at the public schools and spent two years at Thiel College, after which he attended Clark's Business University for a year, thus fitting himself for the duties of a successful business man. He remained on the farm from the time he was six up to the time he was seventeen years of age, when he went to college. He engaged as a bookkeeper for the Erie Fish Association, at Erie, Pennsylvania, for a year, then as assistant secretary for the Clark Business University at New Castle, Pennsylvania, for a short time, after which he went into the employ of the Adams Express Company in Greenville. In 1898 he embarked in the meat business at Greenville and conducted his business in a highly successful manner.
In the month of April, 1908, he also engaged in the livery business at Greenville, having a progressive and thoroughly up-to-date barn. Mr. Beil found a place among the worthy members of the Odd Fellows order, belonging to Alhambra Lodge No. 293. The church of his choice was the Methodist Episcopal. In political views he adhered to the principles of the Democratic party.
