Albert D. Bell
Albert D. "Shorty" Bell, 74, of 5154 Lexington Ave., Erie, died Saturday at his home following a long illness.
He was born in Venango County, a son of William and Sarah Latchaw Bell. He spent his early life here and moved to Erie as a young man. He was retired from General Electric in Erie.
He was married to the former Helen F. Gresch, who survives, along with a brother, Elmer Bell of Frankin, and several nieces and nephews.
Four sisters and four brothers are deceased, namely Mrs. Vida Voorhis, Mrs. Viola McConnell, Mrs. Alma Mar­tin, Mrs. Estelle Fleming, Homer, Archie, Harvey and Lester Bell.
The body is at the Francis V. Kloecker Jr. Funeral Home, 215 W. 25th St., Erie, and friends may call this afternoon and from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight. Prayer services will be held there at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, followed by a funeral mass at St. George Church at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Erie. Prayers will be held at the funeral home at 8 p.m. today.
