General Notes: Wife - Eliza Fager Bell

For a period of twenty years she was postmistress at Bainbridge, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, resigning only by reason of her advanced years; being left a widow with a large family she felt the necessity of bringing into action all her energies and business quali-fications to the better support of her children. All of her six sons were in the Civil war, and did faithful service.
