John Bell
John Wesley Bell, 83, Salina Road, Van, died at 12:15 p. m. Monday in his home.
He was born September 9, 1872, in Clarion County, the son of Samuel and Sophia McCauley Bell. He lived in Cranberry Township most of his life. He was engaged in farming, worked in the oil fields and drove a school bus until he became ill ten years ago.
In addition to his widow, Florence Lusher Bell, he is survived by 12 children: Mrs. Ben (Alice) Kuhns and Mrs. Glenn (Leona) Russell, both of Franklin; Norman Bell and Mrs. Rowland (Edna) Haniwalt, both of Van; Mrs. Ray (Lottie) Stormer, Warren, Ohio; Mrs. Robert (Dora) Anthony, Chardon, Ohio; Mrs. Leonard (Margaret) Russell and John Bell, Jr., both of Kennerdell; Mrs. Lawrence (Dorothy) Seyler, Mrs. Darena (Ruth) Amore, Mrs. Charles (Inez) Webber, Mrs. Henry (Agnes) Meehan, all of Oil City; one sister, Mrs. Laura Green, Oil City; one brother, Walter Bell, Oil City RD 2; 22 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The body is in the Steffee Funeral Home.

Funeral services for John Wesley Bell, 83, of Salina Road, Van, who died in his home Monday, were conducted in the Steffee Fueral Home at 2 p. m. Thursday.
Rev. Richard Burns, of the Rockland Methodist Church, officiated and burial was in Brandon Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Nick Paich, Cletus McCauley, Floyd Russell, Richard Mong, Grey Heckard and Curtis Kuhns.
Attending from out-of-town included Mr. and Mrs. Nick Paich of Polk; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Russell and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hechard of Kennerdell; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Russell, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Kuhns, Pauline Kuhns, Mr. and Mrs. Cletus McCauley, all of Franklin; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Anthony of Chardon, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Stormer of Warren, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Kuhns of Grove City and Floyd Russell of Bainbridge, Md.
