J. C. (HAP) BELL
Services were held at 2 p. m. Tuesday in the Burger Funeral Home for J. C. (Hap) Bell, of 233 Grant Street, who died Saturday morning in the Franklin Hospital.
Officiating was the Rev. H. L. Knappenberger Jr., pastor of the First Methodist Church, who read "Oh Love That Will Not Let Me Go," the 23rd and 121st Psalms.
Interment was in the Franklin Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Robbie and David Grannis, Meredith Welshans, Robert Bell, Jack Willman and Ralph Brunton.
Attending the services from a distance were Miss Garnet Grannis, of Pittsburgh; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bell, of Meadville; and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Lesh, Mary, Ann and Peggy Lesh, of Cochranton.

They had no children of their own; however, they took Robert Grannis, the son of Mabel's sister Dorothy, and raised him from the age of 11 after his mother had died.
