Joseph H. Bell
Joseph H. Bell, 85, formerly of Kennerdell RD 1, died this morning at Venango Manor.
He was a native of Rockland, born there Nov. 24, 1889, a son of John B. and Zulma Mays Bell.
He was married to the former Ruth A. Lusher, who died in 1968.
Mr. Bell was a retired farmer. He had attended the Rockland United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Rockland Volunteer Fire Department and the Rockland Sportsmens Club.
Surviving are a brother, Wade H. Bell of Rockland, and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, Stanley S. Bell, three sisters, Mrs. Daisy Ross, Mrs. Hertha Allen and Mrs. Cleanthis Boman, are deceased.
Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Burger-Gardinier Funeral Home, where friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. The Rev. Alvin H. Rhodes, pastor of the Rockland United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Interment will be in Rockland Cemetery.

Funerals
JOSEPH H. BELL
Funeral services for Joseph H. Bell, who died in the Venango Manor on Thursday, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Burger-Gardinier Funeral Home.
The Rev. Alvin H. Rhodes, of the Rockland United Methodist Church, officiated, reading Psalms 23 and "Crossing the Bar" and "In the Garden."
Interment was in Rockland Cemetery and the pallbearers were Dr. Richard Clark, Robert MacArthur, Victor Garmong, Sam Richey, Rudy Herr and Reed Bell.

MRS. JOSEPH H. BELL
Mrs. Ruth A. Bell, 67, of Rockland, Kennerdell RD 1, wife of Joseph H. Bell, well known church worker, died at 8:30 a. m. today in the Franklin Hospital.
She was born in Rockland Township on Feb. 17, 1901, the daughter of Willis G. and Kathryn Sollinger Lusher. She spent her entire life in the Rockland community.
Mrs. Bell was a member of the Rockland United Methodist Church, the Women's Society of Christian Service, the Ladies Bible Class and served as secretary of the Sunday school for 25 years. She also served on a number of commissions of the church.
Mrs. Bell was a clerk in the Bell store, formerly the Davis Corners store, for more than 40 years.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Byers (Dorothy) King of Cooperstown.
Friends will be received at the Burger Funeral Home at any time. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p. m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Thursday.
Services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Friday from the funeral home with the Rev. Ronald Chitester, pastor of the Rockland United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Rockland Cemetery.

Funeral
MRS. JOE H. BELL
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth A. Bell of Rockland, wife of Joe H. Bell, who died in the Franklin Hospital Wednesday, were conducted from the Burger Funeral Home at 2 p. m. Friday.
The Rev. Ronald Chitester of the Rockland United Methodist Church officiated and during the service read "In The Garden" and the 23rd and 121st Psalms.
Interment was in the Rockland Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert McArthur, Paul Garmong, Jack Porter, and James and Reed Bell.
Among those in attendance were: Mr. and Mrs. Roy Reeser and Viola Lusher, Mogadore, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Riley Adams, Lewisburg; Mr. and Mrs. Robert McArthur and family, Meadville; Mr. and Mrs. George Cope and family, Townville; Theda, Henry and Ruth Ann King, Danton, Md.; Mrs. William Eaton and Mrs. Larry Schreiber, Easton, Md.; Mrs. Bert Newhouse, Fisher; Mrs. Josephine Nupher, Venus; Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Wells, Pittsburgh.
