General Notes: Husband - Gilbert Marshall



East Finley Twp, Washington Co, PA

He was born in Ireland, and coming to America with his parents grew to manhood surrounded by the privations and dangers incident to the lives of pioneers. After his marriage he bought of his father a small piece of land, lying one mile southeast of East Finley postoffice; where he passed the remainder of his life, year by year continuing to add to his property. In politics he was a lifelong Democrat, and in religion a member of the U. P. Church. He lived to be nearly one hundred years of age.
