He was born and reared in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. In 1872 he and his wife moved to North Beaver Township, Lawrence County, and bought a farm of 130 acres, a part of which was later the farm of Robert Hope. Mr. Walker engaged in agricultural pursuits until his death.
