General Notes: Husband - Louis Leopold


He was born in Germany and immigrated to America with his parents in 1847. He was reared in Erie County, Pennsylvania, and received an ordinary education. He was associated with his brother Ernest in Venango and Clarion counties, and also in producing oil in McKean County.
In 1865 he enlisted in Company H, One Hundred and Ninety-eighth Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, and served until the close of the war. He was a Republican in politics, and was a member of Gillmor Post, No. 539, G. A. R.
