General Notes: Husband - Capt. John Bennett

He was born in St. Clair township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, on the Ligonier pike, on the bank of Tubmill creek, on the farm which for many years was known as the William Bennett farm. He subsequently became the owner of a tract of land in Fairfield township, the patent for which dated back to the opening of the land office in the county.

He was married twice, and was the father of thirteen children, all of whom lived to be eighty years of age except the youngest, who died at age forty-eight.
