General Notes: Husband - Crean B. Chaffee

He and his wife brought their family to North East, Erie County, Pennsylvania, in December, 1811. In 1819, they moved to Venango Township, where they lived two years, and then moved to Amity Township when the county was wild and unsettled. Mr. Chaffee took up a state tract of 400 acres on the road from Wattsburg, and resided there until he died.
