General Notes: Husband - Frederic W. Benninghoff


He attended school until sixteen years of age, then worked on his father’s farm (known as the old Benninghoff homestead) until he reached the age of twenty-one years. He then purchased eighty acres, which he farmed four years and then sold. He removed to Ohio and in that state followed farming four years, after which he returned to Greenville, Pennsylvania, where he remained three years and purchased the farm of one hundred and sixty acres, known as “Maple Hill” farm, where he died. In his political views he was a supporter of the general principles of the Republican Party. He served two terms as supervisor and two terms as assessor. He was a consistent member of the Baptist church.
