C. F. Berlin Dies Wednesday
KNOX — Charles F. Berlin, Sr, of Knox RD 1, died at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday in the Oil City Hospital following a short ill­ness.
He was born in Forest County on February 24, 1901, the son of John and Catharine Exley Berlin.
He married Ida Whitling on November 21, 1928. She sur­vives.
Mr. Berlin worked for Knox Glass Inc., retiring in Febru­ary, 1966.
He was a member of St. Mark United Church of Christ at Mon­roe.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Harry (Alma Jean) Sheesley of Emlenton RD 1; two sons, Charles F. Berlin Jr. of Knox RD 2 and Eugene C. Berlin of Manchester, Conn.; and six grandchildren.
He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Albert Fye, Mrs. Raymond Switzer, and Mrs. Charles Dittman of Knox; two brothers, Samuel Berlin of Knox and Wayne Berlin of Bradford; and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, William Berlin, pre­ceded him in death.
The body was removed to the William N. Rupert Funeral Home, where friends are being received until 12 noon Saturday.
At 12 noon Saturday the body will be taken to the St. Mark United Church of Christ in Monroe, where it will lie in state until the funeral services which will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. Rev. William A. Boy­er, pastor of the church, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
