General Notes: Husband - David Irwin


They resided in the County of Armagh, province of Ulster, Ireland, and were of the people first called Ulster Scots, and later Scotch-Irish, descendants of those Protestant Scotch colonists whom the English government planted in the north of Ireland, in the province of Ulster, in the time of James I.
He and his wife reared a family of eleven children, eight sons and three daughters. Six of the sons came to America and settled in several states, principally Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia and Ohio. [CAB, 347]
