He and his wife came to America from Holland. An early record of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, furnishes a list of persons at Fort Pitt, not belonging to the army, in July, 1760. In the list is the name of Susanna Sly, also the names of her two sisters, Elizabeth and Rachel, and the names of their parents, George and Marget Sly.
