General Notes: Husband - John Best


He was a native of Ireland, and was brought to America in his boyhood by his parents, who settled in Ligonier valley, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

He was born in Scotland, whence he accompanied his parents to America during his boyhood, they locating in Ligonier valley, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. In the vicinity of Bottsville, he was reared and lived to an advanced age, engaged constantly in the cultivation of the soil. He was a member of the Presbyterian church.
