General Notes: Husband - Simon Cameron Bethune


In the spring of 1881 he bought a house in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, settled there, and engaged in the sale and repair of pumps, together with undertaking, but later gave his attention exclusively to the latter. In 1886 he built the fine residence and office. Politically he was a republican. He was connected with the Reformed Church, and with the following benevolent orders: Knights of Mystic Chain, R. A., Jr. O. U. A. M., I. O. O. F. and K. of P.
