General Notes: Husband - Peter Simpkins

He and his wife were natives of eastern Pennsylvania, and moved to Ohio some years before the birth of their son, Peter. In 1827 the family removed to West Salem Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania, where the parents died.

He was a member of the Disciples church, while his wife was a member and one of the organizers of the West Salem Baptist church. They were the parents of nine children, Peter was their eighth child.
