General Notes: Husband - Hiram Black


He enlisted June 10, 1861, in Company C, Eleventh Pennsylvania Reserves. He was in many engagements. At the battle of Fredericksburg, VA, December 13, 1862, he was wounded, and fell into the hands of the enemy, and finally died of his wounds while in Libby Prison, Richmond, VA. [HBC 1883, 430]
