General Notes: Husband - Capt. Anthony Blackburn


He raised a company of men in the last months of the War of 1812 and was commissioned captain, but before he received orders to take his men to the front, peace was declared. He was a Democrat, a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and a farmer by occupation.
He and his wife were the parents of five sons and five daughters.
